Happy belated Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you enjoyed all of the turkey, trimmings and desserts that your heart desired!
A few months back, you may have read that I did a Whole30. It was hard but so good, too! One of the best things that I have done for self-care in maybe … ever. Some of the many benefits that I experienced along the way were amazing sleep (my favorite Whole30 side effect!), clear and radiant skin, great energy, and for those of you who want me to get straight to the bottom line, yes I did lose almost 10 pounds. While weight loss isn’t the primary objective of Whole30 (reducing inflammation is!), … I didn’t mind that part of things!
But I have a confession to make. I did follow the Whole30, religiously. To my own shock and amazement, I did not have any cheats. For 30 days! However, I broke down on the second part of Whole30, which is the reintroduction phase. The reintroduction phase should last another two weeks, minimum. Which really makes a Whole30 more like a Whole45+, to be honest. More if you can. And I didn’t do that. Hence why I’m still experiencing what I believe to be food-related issues here and there, without knowing what I’m reacting to. So that is why I’ve got my next Whole30 dates set already.
I have gotten lots of questions from readers, friends and family over the past couple of months, asking about my experience with Whole30. Because of this, I’ve decided to start a January 2017 Whole30 Support Group for any of you who would like to join me! If you join, I will add you to the secret Facebook support group, where we can motivate and encourage each other through the process. I will also be sending you recipes, food prep tips, and information to help you be successful in your journey.
